Vital Roots Wellness is a naturopathic clinic owned and operated by Dr. Stacey Savard. Dr. Savard completed her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, a 4 year post-graduate degree. She has had a passion for health and wellness since childhood, which provided a clear path for her post-secondary studies. She focused her university studies on the human body, gaining a BSc in Exercise and Health Physiology from the University of Calgary. Following graduation, she completed her training in pedorthics through the College of Pedorthics of Canada – assessing the biomechanics of the lower limb and designing and fabricating custom foot orthotics. Working full time in the pedorthic industry for five years stimulated an interested of how to offer more for her patients. While pursuing a diploma in Equine Therapy (holistic medicine for horses), she discovered the discipline of Naturopathic Medicine and quickly gained a passion for the profession.
Vital Roots Wellness is a family practice encompassing a multitude of patient populations and providing diverse treatment modalities to use in patient care. She has a special interest in chronic pain such as fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome; women’s health including fertility, prenatal and postpartum care; and pediatrics. Dr. Savard is passionate about working with each patient to find the root cause, treating each patient as an individual and humbled by what each patient has to teach her. She is continuously looking to grow as a practitioner and finds the best teachers are her patients, valuing the importance in treating each patient as their own entity. She believes knowledge is powerful and is committed to providing as much education as possible to allow her patient’s have the knowledge to make informed choices about their health.
Stacey’s outside interests include a fondness for the outdoors; whether playing with her two horses, finding a new hiking or running trail, paddling out on the water or just sitting on the beach, she is thrilled to be home in Campbell River, which allows her to experience all these things in excess. She is a dedicated yogi and finds it rewarding to share in her yogic affection by teaching a few classes a week.

- Naturopathic Doula Certification and DONA International Doula course.
